Homestay accommodation

Students can stay with a family to experience the Australian lifestyle and to practise

speaking English day-to-day. Breakfast and dinner are provided, and lunch on

weekends. We recommend Homestay accommodation for younger students and

for students who are coming to Australia for the fi rst time. Allow up to 60 minutes

travelling time to school by public transport. Average travelling time is between

40-60 minutes.

Residential accommodation We offer this form of accommodation at a range of rental charges. All are near public

transport. We suggest that students initially book for 4 weeks. Then, after they are

settled, the students may consider alternative accommodation. The following pages

list accommodation providers we use. There are 2 types of accommodation that can

be arranged:

• Student lodges/guest house/hostel: Smaller rooms, more homely, may have limited cooking facilities

• Student share houses: Best for students, with clothes storage, internet facilities, a desk and a quiet environment to study

We can book accommodation for the student when we have received your fl ight

details and a booking fee of A$290. Prices in the following are listed as per person

unless otherwise stated.

At MEGT Education we arrange 2 types of accommodation before a student’s arrival in Australia:

1. Residential accommodation – for students who prefer to be more independent

2. Homestay accommodation – for students who prefer to stay with a family
