Per la perfetta esecuzione e durata delle opere in cemento armato è fondamentale che le armature siano correttamente posizionate e protette all’interno del getto in cls. Per perseguire tale scopo si utilizzano i distanziatori il cui scopo è mantenere in posizione le armature durante la colata e nella fase di indurimento. I distanziatori vengono realizzati comunemente in plastica o a base di malta cementizia, in modo da non innescare la corrosione dei ferri di armatura, e di forma e geometria tali da minimizzare la superfi cie di contatto con il cassero per questioni tecniche ed estetiche. Devono essere inoltre capaci di sopportare il carico trasmesso dalle barre di armatura fi no all’indurimento del conglomerato cementizio.

For perfect execution and durability of works in reinforced concrete, it is essential that the reinforcements be positioned correctly and protected within the concrete casting. For this purpose, spacers are used to keep the reinforcements in position during the casting and throughout the setting phase. The spacers are commonly made of plastic or cement mortar, so as not to initiate any corrosion of the reinforcement bars, and have a shape and geometry so as to minimize the surface area in contact with the formwork for technical and aesthetic reasons. They must also be able to support the load transmitted from the reinforcement bars until the hardening of the concrete.

Nell’esecuzione di opere in calcestruzzo, particolare attenzione deve essere posta alla mancata continuità del getto da cui originano le “riprese”, vere linee di separazione tra getti consecutivi effettuati in tempi diversi (in cui il nuovo calcestruzzo si pone a diretto contatto con la parte precedentemente gettata che può essere anche indurita) e che penalizzano l’opera sotto il profi lo strutturale e della tenuta idraulica. Un’abile programmazione dell’arrivo delle betoniere da parte dell’impresa esecutrice, dovrebbe consentire un’organizzazione ottimale dei getti giornalieri in modo da minimizzare le riprese di getto. Spesso però, le riprese risultano inevitabili in considerazione delle elevate dimensioni delle opere. In questi casi, le riprese di getto andranno adeguatamente disposte da parte dalla D.L. con la previsione di precauzioni particolari per evitare aggravi nella mancata continuità del getto: ad es. la superfi cie di interruzione può essere casserata a coda di rondine od altra sagoma atta a migliorare l’attacco del getto successivo. Prodotti comunemente impiegati per garantire la tenuta idraulica per le riprese di getto nonché per giunti di dilatazione (interruzioni della continuità di un opera volutamente predisposti) sono i WATERSTOP. Si tratta di profi li in PVC con una particolare conformazione in sezione, con o senza bulbo, tale da garantire il perfetto ancoraggio al cls. Il materiale resistente alle aggressioni degli agenti atmosferici e chimici presenti nell’aria e nell’acqua mantiene una adeguata fl essibilità anche alle basse temperature ed in grado di resistere a medie sollecitazioni longitudinali e trasversali che si verifi cano durante l’assestamento della struttura.

During the execution of works in concrete, particular attention must be given to the lack of continuity in the casting which gives rise to “cold joints”, real lines of separation between consecutive castings carried out at different times (in which the new concrete comes into direct contact with the part cast previously that may even be hardened) and which penalizes the work from the structural and hydraulic seal point of view. A good scheduling of the arrival of cement mixers by the construction fi rm should enable the best organization of the daily castings so as to minimize the cold joints in the casting. Often, however, cold joints are unavoidable considering the large dimensions of the works. In these cases, the cold joints of the casting should be arranged suitably by the site engineer while taking particular precautions to avoid increases in the lack of continuity of the casting: for example, the surface of interruption can be placed in a dovetailed formwork or formwork of another shape suited to improve the attachment of the subsequent casting. Products which are commonly used to guarantee the hydraulic seal for the casting’s cold joints as well as the expansion joints (interruptions in the continuity of the work arranged intentionally) are the WATERSTOPs. These are PVC sections with a particular conformation, with or without bulb, so as to guarantee perfect anchoring to the concrete. The material, which is resistant to the aggression of atmospheric and chemical agents found in air and water, maintains suitable fl exibility even at low temperatures and is able to resist the moderate longitudinal and transverse stress that occurs during the settling of the structure.

La posa di strutture prefabbricate è caratterizzata dall’esigenza di eseguire un perfetto “assemblaggio” dei vari elementi (realizzati in stabilimento o a piè dell’opera) in un contesto, il cantiere, che si presenta con superfi ci di appoggio tipicamente irregolari. Per risolvere questo problema ed ottenere l’allineamento corretto degli elementi prefabbricati si utilizzano i c.d. spessori di livellamento. Esistono spessori di diverse caratteristiche, dimensioni e foggia in funzione delle diverse esigenze. Il posizionamento dei pannelli di tamponamento su superfi cie perimetrale e quello dei pilastri nei c.d. bicchieri sono tipici interventi in cui gli spessori di livellamento risultano indispensabili.

The installation of prefabricated structures is characterized by the need to perform a perfect “assembly” of the various elements (constructed in the plant or on site) in a context, the building site, which usually has irregular support surfaces. To resolve this problem and obtain the correct alignment of the prefabricated elements, the so-called levelling shims are used. Shims with various characteristics, dimensions and shapes are available depending on the different needs. The positioning of the infi ll panels on the perimeter surface and that of the pillars in the so-called sleeves are typical interventions in which the levelling shims are essential.

Qualora siano inevitabili le riprese di getto (veri fronti di separazione tra getti consecutivi effettuati in tempi diversi in cui il nuovo calcestruzzo si pone a diretto contatto con la parte precedentemente gettata) è necessario prevedere l’adozione di tecniche particolari ed anche di armature metalliche attraversanti le superfi ci di ripresa in grado da realizzare una più effi cace congiunzione e garantire continuità strutturale. Robin è una cassetta in acciaio zincato prefabbricata al cui interno sono presenti dei tondini d’armatura ad aderenza incrementata, per garantire un miglior aggrappo al calcestruzzo. I tondini di ripresa del getto, rimangono originariamente ospitati nella cassetta in modo da non intralciare l’effettuazione del primo getto. Solo dopo la scasseratura andranno raddrizzati.
