THE SIMPLEX® 5000. SO MANY BENEFITS, SO LITTLE SPACE.

The Simplex® 5000 hasbeen designed for the simplest

installation possible. The lock isshipped preassembled as two

fully contained front and rearhousings. It’s non-handed,and the lever hand can bechanged in seconds. It

installs easily on wood ormetal doors from 13/8" to

21/4" in thickness, or 35mmto 57mm. In addition, it fits standard161 Cylindrical Lock door prep with onlyminor modifications; retrofits cylindricallocksets with 23/4" (70mm) backset; andcovers existing Kaba Ilco 1000, L1000and PowerLever installations.

Since it features a direct-drivedesign, there is no need for a clutch

mechanism. This decreasesthe possibility of internalbreakage and thesubsequent linkage repairs.And with a fully independentlever, there’s less chance ofdamage from abuse.

Using the Simplex 5000couldn’t be easier. You justpunch in the correct code

and press “ENTER.” The ADA-compliantlever requires only a 45-degree turn ineither direction. The code that opens thedoor can be easily changed to one ofthousands of possible combinations,without removing the lock—eliminating thecost of cutting new keys. And since it ismechanical, there are no batteries tomaintain or replace.

From its packaging to its warranty, the Simplex 5000 takes customersupport to a new level.

The lock is packagedwith fewer parts toassemble. That means lesstime, and less confusion atinstallation. The owner’s manual is also built forspeed, with more illustrations and diagrams thanmanuals for other locks. It’s a quick read, as

thorough and helpful as possible, covering boththe installation and operation ofyour Simplex 5000, in threelanguages. A combination cardis also included to help userskeep track of their codes, and a surround card lets you placeoperating instructions on the dooritself.
