Protocol parameters The management of codes and numbers used in Inter net protocols in coordination with IETF (Internet Engin eering Task Force). Number resources The allocation of Internet number resources (IP Addre sses and Autonomous System Number) to RIRs (Reg ional Internet Registries). Domain names The administration of DNS Root Zone database (Proc essing routine updates for TLD operators & adding ne w TLDs into the root of the DNS).

  • Academy of ICT Essentials for Government Leaders ICG Assessment for Combined Proposal Compatibility and interoperability: Do the proposals work together in a single proposal? Are there any incompatible arrangements where compatibility is r equired? Can conflicting overlaps between the functions be resolved in a workable manner? Accountability: Do the proposals together include appropriate and properly supp orted independent accountability mechanisms for running the IA NA function? Are there gaps in accountability under the single proposal? Workability: Do the results of any tests or evaluations of workability that were included in the component proposals conflict with each other or r aise possible concerns when considered in combination?

  • Academy of ICT Essentials for Government Leaders NTIA Criteria The transition proposal needs to: support & enhance the multistakeholder model; maintain the security, stability, & resiliency of the Intern et DNS; meet the needs & expectation of the global customers & partners of the IANA services; maintain the openness of the Internet NTIA stated it will not accept a proposal that repl aces the NTIA role with a government-led or an in ter-governmental organization solution.
