    Because of our strong commitment to help prepare your employeesfor success, the Family and MWR Command centrally funds alltraining for the Family and MWR workforce. Therefore, whether

    employees go to classroom training or complete one of our manyinteractive online courses, the only cost to the garrison is their timeaway. However, we do not look at that time as a cost, but ratheras an investment in enabling those employees to better serve ourSoldiers and Families.

Joyce Family and Morale, Wel are and Recreation (Family and MWR) Academy located in Alexandria, VA is a component o the Family and MWR Command or work orcelearning and per ormance. Te Family and MWR Academy enables Garrisons to provide quality o li e programs and services by developing and sustaining the Family and MWR work orce throughtraining, per ormance support and career planning. Established in 1988 as a brick and mortar center

    or classroom training, today, the Academy also provides online instruction and per ormance supportthrough its virtual campus available at www.mwraonline.com.

    Tere are nearly 100 courses in the Academy inventory. Currently, 39 o these courses have receivedcollege credit recommendations rom the American Council on Education (ACE) and graduates areincreasingly trans erring these credits to colleges and universities.
