1. Students can choose from a certain number of electives. A few count towards graduation requirements (PE, health, computer science). Others are based on interest (art, agricultural, engineering)

2. College major is different than high school major. They do not have to match!

3. You can choose a major to try something new in high school OR take a major to help prepare for a career.

Middle College

Middle College has two avenues:1. College Transfer 2. Welding

Partnership with York Technical College

Open to 11th and 12th graders

Spend one, two or three semesters York Tech Campus

Students can earn up to 30 hours of college credit

Transportation, books and tuition are all provided by the Clover School District

Students must make a minimum score on the COMPASS, 2.8 GPA, and apply for acceptance

Life Scholarship Students must be a resident of SC and attend college in SC

Two Year College

Students must graduate with a 3.0 SC UGS GPA

Scholarship covers the cost of tuition plus $300 for books for two years

Four Year College

2 out of 3 of the following criteria:

3.0 GPA, 1100 SAT/24 ACT, Top 30% of the class

$4,700 per year plus $300 for books

$2500 Math/Science enhancement for 2nd, 3rd, 4th year

Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA each year to maintain scholarship which includes ALL college classes taken.

Palmetto Fellows Scholarship

Students must be a resident of SC and attend a four year college in SC

Criteria (must meet all 3)

SAT (CR +M) 1200 or ACT 27

3.5 GPA at the end of 11th or 12th grade

Ranking in the top 6% at the end of 10th, 11th or 12th grade

OR

SAT (CR+M) 1400 or ACT 32

GPA of a 4.0

$6,700 for freshmen, $7,500 sophomore, junior, senior year

$2500 Math/Science enhancement for 2nd, 3rd, 4th year

Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA each year to maintain scholarship which includes college classes taken on four year campus only.
