Ph.D. Program:The Dissertation Stage
Early 3rd year: students formulate and defend a dissertation proposal
3rd -5th years: work on the dissertation under regular guidance from their professors
Dissertation workshop (4th year) and final dissertation defense
The dissertation makes an original contribution to economics, comparable to articles in high-quality international journals

Masters degree or equivalent
Exceptionally strong candidates with Bachelor degrees are also admitted
English proficiency
Mathematical background very helpful, previous study in Economics is not necessary

Ph.D. Program:The Preparatory Semester
Mid-June to mid-AugustCourses in Microeconomics,
Macroeconomics, Mathematics and English
Very useful to refresh old material or fill gaps in the student’s knowledge
Admission to the Ph.D. program depends on the student’s performance in the preparatory semester
