About AC Cugini - www.cuginisoccer.comBased in Northern Virginia, Frederick, MD, and Florence, Italy, AC Cugini was founded in 2000 as an official Italian scuola calcio (soccer academy). AC Cugini has the rare distinction of being the only soccer academy in North America sanctioned by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and the Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC). AC Cugini is also affiliated with Italian professional women's club RES Roma Calcio Femminile and Italian professional men’s club Brescia Calcio. In addition to the Play Soccer in Italy program, AC Cugini offers year-round training in the United States and Italy, tryout opportunities with professional Italian clubs, and coach education in Italy.

About the Play Soccer in Italy Program In 2001, AC Cugini developed an international athletic and educational

program, Play Soccer in Italy, to further expose American and Canadian youth to Italian player development; allow participants the opportunity to add international playing and training experience to their soccer background; offer the most talented players access to talent scouts from professional Italian clubs, and have families experience the countless wonders of the Italian culture. This highly successful program was an

important element of the special recognition AC Cugini received in 2004 from the Italian National Olympic Committee.

The Play Soccer in Italy 2018 program includes training sessions with Italian National Olympic Committee and Italian Soccer Federation instructors in Rome and Montesilvano on the Adriatic coast north of Pescara in the Abruzzo region of Central Italy. In addition, the program includes four friendly matches against high-level Italian boys teams and review by talent scouts from various professional Italian clubs. There is also ample free time for families to explore the wonders of Rome or enjoy the many splendors of Montesilvano, a popular beach resort town on the golden sandy beach of the Italian Adriatic.

Program Cost: $1,895 per person (sharing a double or triple room; airfare not included)

Tour Directors AC Cugini Founder & President Fabio Diletti, a native Italian, is the program director long with his wife, Lisa, who is fluent in Italian. Fabio and Cristian Diletti, AC Cugini’s Director of International Programs based in Florence, will will accompany the group and arrange for professional scouts from Italian clubs to be present to review players during all training and friendly matches.

Fabio was born and raised in Ascoli Piceno, a medieval city in the Marche region of Central Italy. A professional trainer and talent scout, Fabio played soccer in Italy as a goalkeeper for professional club Ascoli Calcio. He also serves as an international representative for the Italian National Olympic Committee Servizi division as well as the Technical Director of RES Roma Calcio Femminile USA. A long-time resident of the Washington, DC area, Lisa is a graduate of Georgetown University and a marketing and communications professional who also serves as AC Cugini’s Executive Director. All of Lisa’s grandparents were born in Rome and she has spent many years traveling throughout Italy and Europe. Fabio and Lisa, who first met in Italy in Bellagio on Lake Como, have three children, all of whom live in Florence, Italy.

The tour includes 6 nights accommodations at the 4-star Mancini Park Hotel used by professional soccer teams. The hotel has an outdoor pool, soccer fields, a fitness room.and is located in th eEUR section of Rome a few minutes from the center of Rome public transportation. All rooms have private bathroom and are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, wifi, frigo bar, and satellite TV. Reserved rooms include double and triple rooms and some singles. (Note: Minibar charges or anything else charged to the room are extra and must be paid directly to the hotel upon check out.)

Meals

The tour includes breakfast, lunch, dinner daily at the Mancini Park Hotel. Lunch and dinner include 3-courses: 2-3 first course choices, 2-3 entree choices, and choice of desserts. Mineral water is included at lunch and dinner along with 1/4 liter of wine and coffee for each adult. Sodas or additional drinks are extra and must be paid by each directly to hotel upon checkout on July 12 or night before.

Hotel Promenade ~ Via Moro 6, MontesilvanoThe tour includes 4 nights accommodations at the 4-star Hotel Promenade (www.hotelpromenadeabruzzo.it) in Montesilvano, a beach resort a few miles north of Pescara in the Abruzzo region of Central Italy. The hotel, which overlooks the

golden sandy beach on the Adriatic Sea, has private beach facilities, an outdoor pool, a work out room, and American bar. Massage and spa treatments also available.

All rooms have private bathroom, individually controlled air conditioning, satellite TV, wifi. Each

double room also has access to one umbrella and two chairs at the hotel’s private beach. At 100 meters from the hotel, the Warner Village has 11 cinemas, shops and various entertainment venues.

MealsBreakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel is included during the stay at the beach. Lunch and dinner are 3-course meals that include mineral water; with several choices for the first course, several choices for the entree, salad buffet, and choices for dessert. Soda, wine, alcohol, and room service are extra and must be paid directly to the hotel.

About MontesilvanoMontesilvano (from Latin meaning “woody hill”), located on the Adriatic Sea, is part of the Province of Pescara. Situated immediately north of the city of Pescara, Montesilvano is divided into Montesilvano Marina (the lively seaside resort) and Montesilvano Colle (the original medieval comune and citadel). The seafront is very colorful with long stretches of beach chairs and matching umbrellas. Montesilvano has many restaurants serving local fish, bars, cinemas, and various sport and entertainment options.
