ABSTRACT Memory is an mental ability to recall back sensations and ideas. Spatial memory has important role in foraging behavior. Dementia is images of several ki nds of diseases and conditions that grow when the nerve cells in the brain die or they do not work functionally which are caused by oxidative stress. Antioxidant, as electron compound supplier, is able to avoid any negative impacts of oxidant in body by decreasing oxidative stress. Kurk umin has been proved that it has advantages as antioxidant and antiin!ammation which can avoid dementia. "he purpose of this research is to know the kurkumin e#ect and the doses toward spatial memory of mice dementia modeling which is inducted with "M" .  "his research us es post test contr olled design planning resear ch using $% mice consist of & groups of mice, each group consists of ' mice. (n the )rst day until the seventh day the group ( is given kurkumin suspension with doses of *' mg+Kg, the group (( is given kurkumin suspension with doses of '% mg+Kg, the group ((( is given kurkumin suspension with doses of -%% mg+Kg, the group ( is given citik olin with doses of *%% mg+Kg, the gr oup is given k urkumin suspension /M/0a %.'1 2sick control3, the group ( is given suspension /M/0a %.'1 2health control3. (n the eighth day, the whole groups are given "M" as much as 4 mg+Kg with (.5 except the group (. "he test data of spatial memory obtained through Morris 6ater Ma7e test consists of ac8uisition trial, probe trial, and censor motoric ability test. "hen, they a re analy7ed statistically using KolmogorovSmirnov test and continued using repeated measure with trust degree of 9'1.  "he Morris 6 ater Ma7e test result on the ac8uisition trial shows that there is signi)cant di#erence between health control and sick control 2p:;%,%'3 which means that the "M" giving of 4 mg+kg can cause cognitive function decreasing. (n the comparison of sick control group with the groups of *' mg+kg , '% mg+kg , and -%% mg+kg shows that kurkumin can increase the mice memori7ing ability. According to the research, it is obtained that kurkumin with doses of '% mg+kg can increase spatial memory of the mice modeling dementia that are inducted with "M".
