ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

It gives us immense pleasure and privilege to present this report on

“AUTOMOTIVE GAS TURBINE”

We owe thankful to our seminar guide, Mr. ASHISH J MODI. We express

our deepest gratitude towards them for constantly imparting us with their variable

advice and suggestions during our course of preparation of this report. Without their

continuous monitoring, support and persistence, this report would not have taken the

present day shape.

Also, we remain deeply indebted to all the faculties of mechanical engineering

department for providing us the guidance which directly or indirectly helped us in

preparation of this report. Their co-operation has been a source of inspiration for us

all the time.

Last but not least; we are especially thankful to Mr. S.J. Thanki HOD of

Mechanical engineering Department.

ABSTRACT

In modern times a new slogan has gained a great importance.” TIME

IS MONEY”. My investigation here is to save the time by decreasing the time spend

in our mobility. Turbine cars are a solution to this problem. Turbine cars are specially

fitted with gas turbines in it which gives enormous speed to the vehicle. Turbines in

the cars are used a power boosters in the cars. The history of this car lies in year back

to 1930. Chrysler was the first to take a move on the use of gas turbine in

automobiles. Along with the speed this arrangement also has other advantages like

fuel economy, no need for coolant and many more. The turbine car has a great future

due to its desirable qualities over normal piston engine cylinder arrangement.

Presently the uses of this type of gas turbines are experimented for using it in flying

cars. It can be said that this turbine car is a step to future in which the passion for the

speed will reach the horizons.
