ABSTRACT DESCRIPTION OF KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE, BEHAVIOUR OF MOTHERS WITH 7-12 MONTHS OLD INFANTS REGARDING LOW CONCERN IN EXCLUSIVE BREAST FEEDING IN CIRULUK VILLAGE, PUSKESMAS KALIJATI, KALIJATI DISTRICT AREA, SUBANG 2011 Background: Exclusive breastfeeding is defined as a process of breastfeeding without giving any other additional foods to infants up to the age of 6 months. From the data of the National Socioeconomic Survey (SUSENAS) collected in 2006 and 2008, the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding is declining. In 2006, 64.1 percent of mothers exclusively breast fed their babies until the age of 6 months. The number was decreasing in 2007 to 62.2 percent and in 2008 reached its nadir, 56.2 percent. Based on the secondary data collected in 2010, at the Kalijati local health clinic, located at Kalijati District, Subang regency, it was recorded only 47,9 % of mothers who exclusively breastfed their babies. The research objective: This study aims to know the descriptive image of mother’s knowledge, attitude, behaviour concerning exclusive breast feeding in Ciruluk village Kalijati district, Subang. Methods: This research uses desciptive methods. Research instrument are using questioner. Data are collected through a guidance interview in filling the questioner toward mothers in Ciruluk village, Kalijati district, Subang. Result: Around 52,94 % respondent are having enough knowledge concerning exclusive breast feeding, 67,64% respondent are in enough attitude, and 67,64% respondent are having less behaviour. Conclusion: The knowledge and attitude aspect of the respondent concerning exclusive breast feeding are enough but not in respondent behaviour.
