FRIDAY GROUP

Nithi Byreddy Atacama Desert (W. Rossi)

Helen Guan Pixies on Parade (T. Richert)I hear the band starting the Snowflake parade on a distance. Its marching closer and closer echoing from tall buildings. It stays next to me for a while and I spot little pixies dancing and making a pyramid on the top of each other! Wow!… Snowflakes start falling and dancing along with pixies in the final dance.

Esther Sun Mignon (R. Schumann)Summer and her sister, Autumn meet up only once a year, and this time, they went to a prairie. They went on a swing and had a nice conversation. Summer told Autumn about birds singing, thunderstorms bringing and kids playing in the sunshine. Autumn told her about stormy weather blowing leaves down the ground, so kids love to play with those colorful toys and laugh. They getoff the swing and walk away, holding hands, knowing that winter is around the corner.

Abhinav Iyer Sarabanda in D Minor (G. Handel)On a cold winter day, a boy comes to a pond. He sees some ducks and geese. He takes his bread out to feed them the crumbs. To his surprise he sees a beautiful swan swim by. He wants to touch it. But the swan swimsaway... he is heartbroken... The next day, he tries a little differently. He makes a heap of the crumbs and hides behind a bush hoping that the swan will come by and he can touch it. Seeing the swan feeding on the crumbs, he creeps quietly behind it but slips and falls on the grass... When he gets up, the swan is gone. Lying on a bench, he thinks that he will never see the swan. But to his delight, the swan comes to him. He becomes happy realizing that he has just met a friend.

Aaliyah Wilson Interlude in D Minor (W. Gillock)On a cool, cold, cloudy winter morning a young girl peers out her frosted window to gaze at the bare trees outside. She remembers when they were decorated with leaves covered in vibrant hues of red, orange, and gold. She remembers the leaves abandoning the trees as they danced delicately to the ground. She remembers how the cool fall air felt on her skin.As the beauty of autumn begins to fade, winter replaces it with its glistening ice and sparkly snow.

Sophia Birnbach Imagination (Spyair, arr. T. Otto)

Alaia Stewart Faded Letter (W. Gillock)She would write about spring, parchments filled with depictions of honeyed, pastel flowers that would fill your nosewith the sweetest scents.

During summer, she talked about the warm air, and the lush green grass that would always flowed under the beating sun.

In autumn, she said the air would turn crisp, and she loved how the trees would blossom into plumes of beautiful crimson and golden shades.

Winter was cold, and the land would be enveloped in blankets of white snow and pure, glistening ice. Dangerously frigid, yet, so beautiful.

The seasons would come and go, but as the distance only grewever larger, her stories faltered and her love was a mere memory, left only in a pile of faded letters.
