PARISH CONVENTION 2017
Our Parish Convention was held from the 7th to 9th of October at the Jebel Ali Church. Mr. Oommen John from the Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church, Thrissur led the Convention and gave us thought-provoking messages. Large number of our Parish members took time to attend the Convention on all three days. Praying that the messages we heard will help us to lead Christ centric lives.
Mr. Roy Abraham & Mrs. Annie Roy (A067) of Abu Hail / Mamzar prayer group are leaving to settle back in Kerala after 41 years in the UAE. They will continue to worship at the Ebenzer Mar Thoma Church Kavumbhagom.

CORRECTION FROM PREVIOUS BULLETIN: Mr. Varghese K.V. & Mrs. Molamma Varghese (V 188) of Al Maktoum-A prayer group have gone back to Kerala and will continue to be part of the Mar Thoma Sleeba Church, Kaviyoor. In the last Bulletin it was mentioned as Kuriyanoor instead of Kaviyoor.

SEVIKA SANGHAM UAE CENTRE KALAMELA OVERALL WINNERS
BEST PARISH AWARD
Dubai Youth Fellowship led the monthly Parish Mission Night Prayer on Thursday, 19th October, at Jebel Ali Church. This was a special prayer for 10th & 12th std. students and the prayer time was a blessing to all attendees including YF members.
Dubai Mar Thoma Parish was honoured as the Best Parish for the last year by our earlier Diocese, Kunnamkulam - Malabar. On behalf of the Parish, Church office bearers of the last year received the trophy.
Youth Sunday: DMTYS lead the Worship Service during the Youth Week last month. After the Friday Worship Service Mr. Oommen John (Parish Convention Speaker) addressed the Sakhyam gathering on the topic – Karuna Thedunnavarkku Kavalakenda Yuvathwam
YUVAJANA SAKHYAM EVENTS LAST MONTH
SUNDAY SCHOOL WINNERS AT EXPLORE 2017
Yuvajana Sakhyam members had a day outing and retreat recently at a farm house where 70+ Sakhyam members participated under the leadership of our Youth Chaplain Rev. Sajesh Mathews. Praising God for a wonderful time of fellowship.
Dubai Mar Thoma Sunday School won the Overall Championship at the UAE Centre Sunday school ArtsFest competition - Explore 2017, held at Al Ain Mar Thoma Church on 21st October 2017. Hearty Congratulations to all participants and winners. Thanks to the Convenors, SS staff members and Parents who worked hard towards this achievement.
Sevika Sangham Dubai Shakha won the overall first prize at the UAE Centre Kalamela which was held in Fujairah Emmanuel Mar Thoma Church on 27 October. Our Sevika Sangham also got the first prize in Malayalam Bible reading, first prize in Bible Quiz and 2nd prize in Group Song and 2nd prize in English Elocution. Congratulations to all Sevika Sangham members and may this victory bring glory to our Lord.

Mr. N.M. Thomas, 80 years, father of Mr. Thampi Thomas - Reji (Jumeirah prayer group) passed away on 3rd September. Funeral was held on 7th September at Salem MTC, Chachhipunna, Pathanapuram.
Mrs. Annamma George, 83 years, mother of Mr. Roy George Abraham (Al Nahda-Sharjah prayer group) passed away 1st October. Funeral was held on 4th October at Nazareth Mar Thoma Church, Ranni.
Mr. M.C. Chacko, 89 years, father of Mrs. Rosamma Abraham (Holy Trinity Area prayer group) passed away on 7th October, 2017. Funeral was held on 8th October, 2017 at Kudamaloor.
