The Peptide Synthesis Core Facility is a dedicated peptide synthesis facility for Simpson Querrey Institute members, NU researchers, and other local academic and commercial labs. Our facility provides customers with high quality peptides synthesized at 0.052 mmol scales and purified by reverse phase HPLC. We can also carry out side chain or terminal modifications such as the addition of fluorescent or biotin labels according to the customers’ research applications. In addition, we utilize the leadingedge Agilent 6520 QTOF LCMS system to develop and deliver a wide range of mass spectrometry services. The Peptide Synthesis Core is located on the 11 th floor of the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center on Northwestern University’s Chicago Campus. Technical Assistance Consultation, training, data analysis, lyophilizer setup $100 per hour 1 Additional consumables charges will apply depending on the number of amino acids required in the process. 2 Includes synthesis setup, peptide cleavage, and MS analysis of crude peptide. 3 With each injection 40-200 mg of crude product is purified, depending on the solubility of each peptide. Recovery is usually between 5-50 mg and is often >90% pure by reverse-phase HPLC.
