Who uses the data? The data are used by national charities like Age UK, Oxfam and the National Council of Voluntary Organisations, as well as by universities and the press. An anonymised data set is free to access and analyse online. This is administered by the Norwegian Social Science Data Service. Any identifying information like your name or address is removed, so no one would be able to discover your individual answers.

What will you ask me about? We would like to hear your views and opinion on a range of important topics. Do you trust the government and other institutions, like the police? What values are important to you? Do you think that immigration is good or bad for the country? What do you think about climate change?

We will also ask about your general health and wellbeing, and your family and household circumstances.

It’s important to us that you share your frank opinions on these topics. But if you do not want to answer any questions - that’s fine too - you can just skip on to the next. Taking part is entirely voluntary.

What we have discovered so far?

Since 2001, this research has shed light on a range of interesting and important topics.

Nearly 60% of UK graduates work in non-graduate jobs – the third highest in Europe.

Only 28% of Ukrainians believe that gay men and women should be free to live their own lives as they wish, compared to 84% in the UK.

Young people in Britain are among the least likely to vote in Europe. Only 40% of under-35 year olds in the UK voted in the last General Election, compared with 74% in the Netherlands.
