The abortion.
What is abortion?
The abortion is fetal death by his expulsion, natural or induced, at
any time of intrauterine life.
Types of abortions. There are two types: spontaneous or
induced.
•The spontaneous abortion (miscarriage): it may occur when there is fetal death, or by the expulsion of the new born outside the
womb where it dies.
•The induced abortion: you can kill the child in the womb or even forcing its removal
artificially .
Spontaneous abortion = miscarriage: aborto involuntario.Womb = uterus: útero.Led = induced abortion: aborto provocado.
Methods of abortion.
There are seven different methods: salt poisoning, by suction, dilation and curettage, with "D & X" at
thirty-two weeks, by cesarean section and by prostaglandins.
• Salt poisoning: Amniotic fluid is withdrawn inside the bag that protects the baby. A long needle is inserted through the mother's abdomen until the amniotic sac and a concentrated salt solution is injected . The baby swallows this solution that will result in death twelve hours later by poisoning, dehydration, etc.. This method is used after sixteen weeks of pregnancy.

• By suction: A hollow tube with a sharp edge is inserted into the uterus. Strong suction rips apart the baby's body. Nearly 95% of
abortions in developed countries are made this way.
• By D & C (dilation and curettage): It uses a spoon provided with a knife sharp tip on
which the baby is cut into pieces in order to facilitate its removal by the cervix.
Hollow tube: un tubo hueco.
Sharp edge: borde afilado.
Cervix: cuello de la matriz.
By "D & X" at 32 weeks: • This method is also known as partial birth.
This is usually done when the baby is very close to his birth. It is guided by ultrasound.
• Pliers are introduced and they grip a little leg, then the other, followed by the body.
• The head is left inside the uterus because the head is too large to be removed intact. So, scissors are buried into the base of the baby's skull, and then a catheter is inserted
and the brain is removed by suction . • This procedure makes the baby die.

• By Caesarean section : This method is just like a C-section until the umbilical cord is
cut, except that the child is let die after extracted.
• By Prostaglandins: This drug causes premature labour at any stage of
pregnancy. It is used to perform abortion on half of pregnancy and even in the latter stages. Its main "complication" is that
sometimes the baby gets out alive. It can also cause severe harm to the mother.

abortion Effects.
• Physical: It can cause death, breast cancer, ovarian cancer,
liver and cervical (cervix) cancer, uterine perforation, ectopic pregnancy, a condition called inflammatory pelvic endometritis, etc...
• Psychological: It needs psychological treatment.Sexual dysfunction, suicide, alcohol and drug abuse,
eating disorders, divorce etc.. could occur after abortion.
Breast cancer: cancer de pechoLiver: hígado.Condition: illness
things that makewomen abort.
• Normally women have abortions because pregnancy is not desired, it may be because
women have been raped or because they are very young.
• Another cause may be that the child could be born with a disability.

personal opinion.I would not agree with abortion when it is for instance the case of an unwanted pregnancy
because there are many contraceptive methods and a lot of information now to avoid this, and yes I would agree in the case in which the fetus had an illness or could endanger the
mother's life or its own.
