New ABLOY® multipoint locks are the latestextension to the wide ABLOY® Europrofileelectromechanical lock case range.

FUNCTIONThe ABLOY® multipoint motor locks offer several functional options with comprehensive selection of status indications in one multi-point locking solution. In addition to increased security, they offer the same versatility as ABLOY® singlepoint motor lock cases do.

ABLOY® multipoint locks contain EL420/EL520 based main motor lock in the middle and two auxiliary locks with hook bolts. All threelock cases share the same forend and the locks are controlled by the main lock in the middle.

The main lock has two deadlocking bolts: a double action bolt and a dead bolt. The dead bolt in the main lock and the hook boltsin the auxiliary locks are withdrawn inside the lock case by motor. The double action bolt in the main lock is released, when electricalcontrol is on. The lock can always be opened by inside handle and by cylinder.

Motor locks are used in doors requiring:- Security- Convenience (push / pull function)- High durability (high traffic doors)

The locks are recommended to be used in the interior and exterior doors of businesspremises, public buildings, hospitals, educational premises etc. Typical applicationsare:

- Security doors- Fire doors (high traffic)- Entrance doors- High traffic access controlled doors- Swing doors with door automatics

EL526 are used in wooden and metal doors. EL426 are used in narrow profile doors.When exit by handle is needed, the lock is installed with the inside handle. Whenboth access and exit is electrically controlled, the lock is installed with pulls on theboth sides of the door. The locks can be electrically controlled by access controlsystem or by other remote control system such as timer, keypad or push button.

The locks can be used in emergency exit, panic exit and in fire rated doors (EN).

Also available lock cases for Swiss cylinder (RZ):- EL528 for wooden or metal doors- EL428 for narrow profile doors

Momentary: Dead bolt and hook bolts are retained inside the lock case for the adjusteddelay of 2...15 seconds.Continuous: Dead bolt and hook bolts are retained inside lock case as long as electricalcontrol is on.

When the door closes, and the delay or electrical control is off, all bolts are deadlocked.In the case of power failure, the bolts are always deadlocked.

EMERGENCY EXIT DEVICES ACCORDING TO EN 179

The following locks and push bars are approved to be installed together in a panic exit door to conform EN 1125.The push bars can be installed for example with above mentioned outside fittings (Table EN 179) to conform EN 1125.

The safety features of this product are essential to its compliance with EN 179. No modification of any kind, otherthan those described in the installation manual, are permitted.

EN179 and EN1125 standards are conformed, when the above mentioned lock is installed with ABLOY® striker plateslisted in this brochure.

This document may not be used in the installation of a lock. Drilling and wiring diagrams and installation instructionsare included in the installation manual, which is included in each lock case package.

We reserve the right to make alterations to the products described in this leaflet.
