Brief description of undergraduate courses taught:(Course Title – Code: description)
1. Surgery I: Introduction to Surgery for the 4th Year students – MDSG 452 Four rotations per year; each 6 weeks duration. This is an introductory course for general surgery. it aims to expose the student to clinical skills, clinical diagnosis and pathophysiology of surgical diseases. The course ends with current written and clinical examination.
2. Surgery II: Principles of Surgery for the 6th Year students – MDSG 602 (previously 552) Four rotations per year; each 9 weeks duration. this course ends with an OSCE and prepares the student for the Final Certifying Examination.
3. Surgery for Nurses – MDSG 366 (no longer exist in the department) Two rotations per year; each 16 weeks duration. the course is composed of lectures and ends with an MCQ examination.
4. Parallel Medicine Course: Problem Based Learning -‐ 1519412 & 1519512 (no longer exist) Involved in clinical teaching of 4th & 5th year students of the newly established Parallel Program.
