Layer Blend Modes `

Digital DrawingFor the digital drawing project I redrew an image of a spoon. I used different textures of pencils and paint brushes. The image of the spoon was kept to the side so I could get a better look of the spoon while drawing.

A layer blend is adding a bunch of images and lay-ers together to create one image. You can clearly see other layers being use in the image, but it blends in. The colors and the picture of the transparent trees in the back of the image are all on separate layers.


Photoshop filtersA filter can be added to an image to give it a spe-cial effect. To make it ei-ther more visible or hard-er to see. Many filters can be used to change the whole design of the im-age. In this image I used a sort of smudged static texture to create a creepy look to the character in the image.

Photoshopped TitansA filter can be added to an image to give it a special effect. To make it either more visible or harder to see. Many filters can be used to change the whole design of the image. In this image there is a gradient glow in the middle and a special texture to make the image and characters look metal.


Music Lyrics For this image I added space layers and textures to fir the theme of this band. The image of the band mem-bers started off as gray and as I started adding more to the image it transformed. Lyrics from a song they wrote and sang are added in the back.

Inspirational Quote is a quote said by a person ad that quote can be used in everyday life. This was made by adding a black half on one side of the picture, adding the quote and then inverting it so the words and the other half of Birtgitte’s face is seen. A bubble layer was added to give a special effect and make the image more appealing to look at.


Chicago Collage Pictures were taken on the class trip to chicago and I used some of the pictures I took to create a Chica-go collage. I took pictures that best represent Chicago and put them into one image to show how amazing Chicago is.

Symmetrical Landscape is adding layers to a land-scape and then making one half of the image the same. Like mir-roring. Here I added the sky and moons and the aded a dark blue, black and light blue gradient so the image appears cooler.


Fantasy space Landscape A landscape is a visi-ble feature of land, usually of countrysides, but for my landscape I used a fantasy space landscape to make the artwork more appeal-ing to look at because it’s not something people see everyday. Al-though the landscape isn’t mine I changed the texture of the sky and ground and added paint strokes.

DreamScape This projects involves a collage of realistic photos layered together to create a dream-like scene. I put three moons and changed the opacity of the two in the back to make it look more real, but at the same time still imaginative The color of the small house also has an unrealistic color to it to create a sense of imagination.


Naturemorphosis isthe adding of something from nature to a human figure to make it look like they’ve been combined into one figure. In my design I layered lizard skin over my skin and now I look like a hu-man lizard. I also edited the col-or of my eyes to a more darker brown and red to make it look more real.

Self PortraitA portrait is a paint, drawing, or photograph of a person. Usu-ally of just from their chest to the head. I free handed and created my portrait in the pro-gram Corel Painter 12. To get the colors I copied the colors from the original photograph and used that color to paint in the appropriate spot of that color. I also added some blue streaks at the bottom and top of my portrait in the empty spaces so my portrait doesn’t have too much negative space


Movie Poster

The movie poster I created was inspired by the movie Alien v.s. Predator. Two imag-es I found were put togther, one represents good and the other evil. Al though it is not an official movie, concepts of an official movie are added to the image so it looks as if it is a real movie.

Vormator designThis design was cre-ated by adding cer-tain shapes together to create an abstract image. Many shapes and colors are added together along with a gradient in the back.


Enviornmental Poster was created to show how polluted and damaged the earth is. I started off with a clear ocean and then I changed the contrast, color and brightness to give it a mucky look. The smoke and skull were added to emphasize the idea I am trying to get across.

Poly Portrait is a portrait, but it is made from making shapes into a portrait. My shapes got bigger as I continued past the eyes and eyebrows. The hair is all big shapes.


Popart is art famous for the Marilyn Monroe portrait by Andy Warhol. I recreated the project and made my own colors and picture.

TechnoPerson Turning a human into a sort of cyborg like figure. The power button and custom eyes make the man look indifferent and the pixels on the man’s forehead also add a technological effect.


Rock MountainThe sky in this photo was added using photoshop. I added a layer mask and covered the original sky.

Geometric Collage Parts of the picture were reversed from the side that part was originally on to make it look geometric.


Symmetrical Landscape

Logo Design The creation for this logo was for a clothing company called Alien ware urban clothing. Many sketches and ideas were made and brought up to finally get the right logo that suited this company.
