We partner with Jackson County Animal Shelter and the County Commission to help with the rescue program in Jackson County. We picture the dogs and post them on the Petfinder site. We contact rescues to show them the dogs available. We send vetting forms and prices to the rescues and return the complete forms to the humane officers. We transport the dogs (about every two weeks) to Hagerstown, MD using our own vehicles and providing the gasoline. This involves coordinating with a transport network that helps to move the dogs to all of the northeast states and preparing all paperwork and ID’s required for the pets to transport. We foster pets as space allows. We rehabilitate pets that might be shy or need leash training or help that we can provide. As finances permit, we provide medical treatment for special needs.
