TXpert Solution Captures information needed to understand transformers status
- Available today for oil based type transformers
- Available soon for dry type transformers (End Q3/Q4 2019)
1. Transformer data captured in 10 second intervals
2. Wi-fi access allows mobile devices and PCs to configure, inspect and download TXpert transformer data
3. Ethernet Access allows transformer data to be pushed to back-office system using MQTT protocol.
4. Protocols (modbus, 61850 etc) beyond MQTT can be supported with some additional software development

Plug and play Data collection
Sensor data stored every 10 seconds.
Data storage Data analysis
How does it work
Turn key solution
The TXpert starts recording data as soon as it is energized.
No additional configuration is needed to start collecting data.
Data managed locally.
There is enough memory (via SD card) for the transformer’s operational life.
The database can be retrieved locally or remotely.
Locally performs basic analytics
Analytics are stored in the local database and displayed via the user interface.

Objective
– Develop a remote controlled device for inspection of the transformer core/active part and other objects with the oil in the tank
– Key Deliverable: A technology demonstrator of the inspection devices with remote control and data collection and recording system.
Customer Value
– Avoid safety risk of confined space entry
– Provide faster and easier visual observation to save the repair cost and shorten down-time
– Reduce the cost and risk of oil handling by eliminating the need to draining, store, ventilate, vacuum and refill the transformer
– Reduce the risk of continued transformer operation by allowing more frequent internal inspections without draining the oil
– Provides the ability to bring in ABB global experts in real time
