Over 40 dedicated music majors comprise the heart and soul of the music program at ABAC. These students are mentored by a music faculty which includes nationally renowned performers, scholars, conductors, clinicians, and adjudicators, each one committed to inspiring ABAC students. The student-to-faculty ratio allows individual attention for every student. Auditions are required to be accepted into the program. The Music Program at ABAC offers instrumental vocal performing ensembles such as the Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Choir, and Chamber Singers, as well as various smaller chamber groups. These ensembles perform on at least 20 occasions for the public each year. Several of the major performing ensembles travel throughout the Southeast and have also performed nationally and internationally from Lincoln Center in New York City to the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
