    Application

Standards Engineering InformationClass AA stranding are used for overhead transmission lines.

Class A stranding are primary used in covered overhead lines. Greater flexibility than Class AA.

    ASTM B-231Concentric-Lay-stranded Aluminum 1350 Conductors

ASTM B-230Specification for Aluminum-1350-H19 Wire for Electrical purposes

    Conductor: Aluminum alloy 1350-H19 wires.

Stranding: 1350-H19 aluminum wires concentrically stranded, consisting of one or more layers of wires helically wrapped around a central wire.

Use as bare overhead transmission cable, and as a primary and secondary distribution cable, where a lighter conductor is desired, vs. an ACSR conductor, and conductor strength is not an important factor
