1. Read for comprehension by using reading strategies; that is,previewing and predicting stories before reading, reading formain ideas, reading for specific information, and guessingvocabulary from contexts.
2. Take notes, paraphrase, summarize and interpret passages aswell as express opinions and critically analyze advantages anddisadvantages of what is heard and read.
3. Identify meanings of vocabulary and expressions found in whatis heard and read.
4. Write letters of request, short notes and summaries by usingcorrect appropriate expressions.
