9. EASE OF OPERATION & ADJUSTMENTS
No difficulty was observed during the operation and adjustment of rotavator.
10. DEFECTS, BREAKDOWNS AND REPAIRS
No defect/breakdown and repair was occurred during entire period of field
& lab tests.
11. SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS, COMMENTS AND
RECOMMENDATION
11.1 No ingress of dust and water/mud in primary reduction gear box,
secondary reduction gear box, and rotary axle bearing cap was
observed.
11.2 Provisions for breather cap is provided in primary and secondary gearbox.
11.3 Parking stand & safety device are provided in rotavator.
11.4 Provision for oil level in primary gearbox needs to be provided.
11.5 The specification of implement hitch is not conforming in full to the IS 4468
(Pt-I):1997.
11.6 Dimensions of PIC yoke is conforming where as PIC is not conforming to IS
4931:1995. This should be looked into for corrective action.
11.7 The hardness of rotor blades at edge and shank portion do not meet, the
requirement of IS 6690:1981. This should be looked into for corrective
action.
11.8 Carbon & manganese content of rotor blades do not meet the requirement of
IS 6690:1981. This should be looked into.
11.9 Parameters of labeling plate need to be declared as per IS requirement.
