“My favourite subject is art because you can get messy and be creative” Emily, Year 5
This is apparent in both their academic studies
and the opportunities they have outside the
classroom, providing an excellent all-round education.
Natural talents, enquiring minds and creativity are
nurtured, allowing girls to explore new horizons with
confidence.
An enriched, balanced curriculum is complemented
by a wide range of extra-curricular activities,
from football to photography, chess to cookery.
Throughout their time at Sarum Hall girls benefit
from plentiful opportunities to perform to a
high standard. This diversity ensures every pupil
participates and contributes to school life, gaining
new experiences as they do so.
At the heart of Sarum Hall is a sense of purpose. In every aspect of school life, girls are encouraged to develop their learning, thinking and personal skills.

Enthusiasm
Love of learningA traditional academic curriculum is delivered through superb teaching, first-rate ICT facilities and modern approaches to learning.
Small class sizes, a committed teaching staff and an
emphasis on academic excellence enable girls to
set themselves high standards in everything they
do. The all-girl environment ensures teaching is
tailored to girls’ particular strengths and abilities and
the number of lessons taught by subject specialists
increases as girls progress through the school.
Sarum Hall offers a stimulating education relevant
to the world beyond school. Core subjects such
as English, mathematics, science and religious
education sit comfortably alongside ICT, French
and, in Year 6, Mandarin. These disciplines are
enhanced by music, art, drama and physical
education at every age.
“My maths teacher makes all the work fun and interesting. I LOVE maths!” Sophie, Year 5

“The school provides a very nurturing environment for the girls. Excellent facilities.” Current parent
It is an exciting place to be, whether girls are
problem-solving in the innovatively-designed ICT
classroom, rehearsing for an upcoming performance
in a music room, playing a match on the sports
pitch or sparking their imagination with a good
book in the stimulating atmosphere of the library.
Each girl learns to appreciate and care for their
environment, from the immediate surroundings
of their classroom and school site, to local and
global issues. Full advantage is taken of the school’s
location with frequent class visits to museums,
galleries, exhibitions and places of interest,
developing cultural awareness and intellectual
curiosity.
Sarum Hall has been educating girls for over 80 years. Our award-winning purpose-built school provides a modern and inspiring environment in which pupils are happy, safe and secure.

Growth
A caring communityCommunication and good relationships between staff, parents and pupils are essential if girls are to flourish and fulfil their potential.
The school strives to work in partnership with
parents so they are able to support their daughter’s
learning. Parents can discuss progress with teaching
staff at any time, as well as by attending the regular
parents’ evenings during each academic year.
Sarum Hall is a school whose principles and ethos
are founded upon Christianity while emphasising the
moral and spiritual values shared with other faiths.
The school community reflects the multi-cultural and
cosmopolitan nature of central London and pupils
from other faiths are welcomed. Concern for others,
tolerance and mutual respect are valued, helping
pupils to appreciate that individuals have different
beliefs and attitudes.
The school encourages community involvement
through fundraising for a variety of charities, links with
the local church and a busy programme of Parents’
Association events throughout the year. There is a
Sarum Hall Old Girls association and many Old Girls
go on to choose the school for their own daughters.
“The nursery girls are very much a part of the whole school so they feel like they belong and there is great camaraderie amongst the girls of all ages” Current parent
