Group Gratuity Savings Product

CareCoop offers its members an opportunity to secure their future through savings. It is mandatory for all our members to make monthly savings contributions and these attract interest at attractive rates.

CareCoop offers Gratuity Schemes for Organizations with employees on fixed term contracts. In addition to the interest given on this gratuity savings contribution product, employee whose gratuity savings is deposited with CareCoop have an opportunity to increase their borrowing leverage through the use of their earned gratuity as collateral.

This is one of the products offered by CareCoop and offers financial protection for employees. The product, which considers the employer as the gratuity holder and the employee as the members, will help organisations to offer benefits to employees in a very timely manner. The main aim of the group gratuity Product is to allow employers to build a corpus to help take care of their workers’ gratuity benefits and also to offer high returns with the interest earned on the gratuity fund.

Eligibility Criteria: Every member organisation looking to sign up for the Group Gratuity Product needs to first sign up for membership. Refer to Member organisation sign up process.

Care Co-operative Savings & Credit Society Limited herein after referred to as "CareCoop" is a leading Savings and Credit Cooperative (SACCO) that has been operating in Zambia since 1995. CareCoop started off as a small Cooperative through contributions from eemployees of Care International, Plan International and Pulse Holdings Limited. In its early years of inception, membership was only drawn from among the employees of these organisations until 2004 when the members amended the By-laws and subsequently opened doors to draw membership from interested Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO). Over the years, CareCoop evolved and eventually began to draw its membership from other organisations outside NGOs termed "Associate Members". CareCoop has grown from an initial 50 members in 1995 and now boasts of a membership of over 4, 000.

For over 20 years, CareCoop has continued to be the pioneer SACCO in the provision of superior financial solutions that meet its diverse customer base. Supervised by the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry and operating under the Co-operative Act of 1998, CareCoop has remained one of the largest SACCOs in the country.

CareCoop offers affordable financial services and products with the main objective of encouraging savings from its members and advance them with loans for development and any emergencies. There are various loan products with varying pricing and tenors to offer our members various options that meet their financial needs and status.
