General notes:

- Speed: For this level, speed is really important. Speed will be decided based on student age, the younger the slower. Speed will also depend on the students’ characteristics.

- TPR: Using TPR is really important to motivate the student and using puppets, flashcards as required will help to motivate the student.

- Pronunciation: For ESL student, correcting pronunciation is really important and teachers should correct during the class.

- The teacher should appraise the student or correct positively frequently.- If the student cannot answer, the teacher can mouth then say out loud to help.- If the student cannot concentrate, the teacher can use TPR.

!!! Please make sure that the student tool mode is off during class. It should be granted for students above 8 years old only when solving a quiz. For writing activities, please ask the student to write on a sheet of paper or a board. Please maximize the student’s talking time and pay attention to the student’s pronunciation and use of English.

Evaluate the student performance after class (for teachers): Please spare five minutes to fill in the performance evaluation for the student via Kynaforkids Teacher’s App. This is compulsory in order to finish the class. Please be noticed that the form should be filled in for each class within 24 hours.

Teacher introduces himself or herself; ask for student's name- Teacher introduces his/her name, nationality- Teacher asks "What is your name?" and helps the student to reply.- Teacher exposes the student to How are you?- Teacher asks: How old are you?AND OTHER COMMUNICATION (School, lunch, dinner, etc.) TO WARM UP THE CLASS

2. Introduce about rewards system- Switch to the whiteboard with Charlie and the medal image, T says: When you do a great job (point to the student and thumb up), Charlie will get a medal.

Teacher says: " Now, let's watch a video and repeat each sentence!" Teacher plays the video, then after each sentence, pauses and asks student to repeat each sentence.

Teacher should make an example, then mouth or say out loud to help.

Listen and tick the box

(3 mins)

Teacher says: "Now, listen and tick the box."

Teacher plays the audio, stops after each conversation and signals student to choose: "Is this box1, 2 or 3?" After student answers, teacher plays the part again, repeats the key sentence and gives feedback. Teacher ticks the correct box.

Script:1. Mum: Can you help me, Ann?Ann: Sure, Mum.Mum: Put the clock in the living room.Ann: The clock is in the living room.

2. Mark: Look! There is a monkey.May: He is eating.

3. Mark: Look! There are two elephants.May: Look! There are four lizards.

Teacher says: “Now, look at the picture and read the sentences. Then tick the box to choose the correct sentence. Let’s read the sentences first." Teacher underlines each word and reads each sentence aloud, then puts your hand on the ear for student to repeat after each sentence. When student repeats. Teacher says: "Now, look at the picture and choose. Is this sentence no1 or 2?" Student is expected to say a number, teacher gives feedback then ticks the correct box.

Then teacher underlines the sentence and says: "The monkey is eating." and circles the monkey, then says "No. It is jumping." (shaking head). Teacher writes' no' in the blank.

Teacher says: "Now your turn." Teacher underlines each word and reads the sentence aloud "There are three tigers in the zoo." signals the student to repeat. Then asks student "Is this correct? " Student is expected to say "Yes" Teacher circles the picture and gives feedback, then writes "Yes" in the blank.

Teacher says: "Look at the pictures. Count and circle the number."

"Let's start with the first group. Look and count together." Teacher points to each elephant and starts "1....2....', signals student to continue.".3....4...." and writes number 4 in the blank. Teacher says "four elephants" and puts your hand on your ear for student to repeat. Teacher points to number 10 and asks "Is this number 4?" Student is expected to say "No", then teacher says: "It's number.....(signals student to complete) 10!" Repeat for number 3. Teacher points to number 4 and asks "Is this number 4?" Student is expected to say "Yes", then teacher circles the number 4.

Similar to the other numbers.

Answer: 3 elephants - 13 lizards - 18 flowers

Teacher says : "Listen to a conversation and fill in the blank. (points to given words) Let's read these words first." Teacher circles each word, says it aloud and puts hand on ear for student to repeat. Teacher says: "Now, let's listen carefully."

Teacher plays the video and stops after the first blank and repeats the sentence: "Let's go to the z.....?", signals student to complete. Teacher can play that part again if student needs help. Teacher gives feedback, crosses the given word and writes the word in the blank.
