STAGEACTIVITIESTIMING

1. LEAD - INTeacher salutes the pupils and asks them how they are feeling. She checks the absents and whether they had homework or not. 5min

2. COMPREHENSION TASKPupils are introduced to the topic of the new lesson. Teacher writes the title of the lesson on the blackboard and presents the main activities of the lesson, i.e. discussing some grammar issues.5min

3. GRAMMAR

a. Presentation

The teacher explains them how the numbers from 20 to 100 are formed in the English language. She writes them on the blackboard and at the same time she says them aloud. 15min

b. Practice

Several exercises are solved. All deal with the cardinal numbers. Pupils are supposed say in English the numbers indicated by the teacher.10min

c. Production

Further exercises are solved. Pupils have to complete the gaps and to answer some questions.10min

4. FEED - BACKPupils are given an exercise from the course book to solve. If theres a wrong answer, the teacher will ask somebody else to correct his/her classmate.

5. HOMEWORKTeacher gives the pupils an exercise which deals with the topic discussed during the lesson.
