Requirements for a Civil Ceremony

Hotel Wedding Coordinator must receive copies of all documents, a minimum of two weeks prior to the wedding date. Original documents must be submitted to the Judge upon your arrival. We invite you to use the check-mark boxes below to help you keep track once you collect each document. Required documents are:

� Valid Passport. � Birth Certificate. � If widowed, the Death Certificate. � If previously married, the Divorce Decree. � A Legal Translator will translate these documents to Spanish language, duly signed and

stamped by Dominican Foreign Affairs Office. Cost US$140.00* for each certificate. � Certificate indicating that both parties are legally single individuals (issued in the USA or

country of residence). This document will be prepared by the Justice of Peace and translated by a Legal Translator. Cost US$140.00* for each certificate. If the couple is the same nationality, only one Single Certificate is required, valid for both the bride and the groom.

� Address(es) and occupation(s) of the bride and groom. � Names of parents and their address(es). � Names of grandparents. � Names of Best Men and Maid of Honor – or witnesses, their addresses, names of their

parents and copy of their valid passport or ID. � ALL DOCUMENTATION ISSUED OUTSIDE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC must be apostille (signed

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Bride and Groom will be provided with a marriage confirmation after the wedding ceremony. Notarized Marriage Certificate will be mailed to the bride and groom as soon as it is received from the Justice of Peace. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks after the wedding date for Notarized and legalized Certificate to be delivered by the Justice of Peace to the Casa de Campo Wedding Specialist. Civil ceremonies are performed solely in Spanish. However, an English translator will be provided upon request. Copies of Documents must be faxed or sent via courier to the Miami Sales office or directly to the on-site Wedding Specialist. The Justice of Peace must approve all documents in order to confirm the wedding ceremony.

Civil Ceremonies may be performed as follows:

Monday to Friday – after 6:00 PM Saturday – after 2:00 PM Sunday – any time of day



Requirements for a Catholic Ceremony

Catholic Ceremonies are performed solely at the beautiful Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church at Altos de Chavón, in Spanish only. Ceremonies for other religions may be performed at other locations throughout the resort, as they will not be allowed in the church. We invite you to use the check-mark boxes below to help you keep track once you collect each document. Required documents are:

� Valid Passport. � Birth Certificate. � Baptism Certificate. � Communion Certificate. � Confirmation Certificate. � A Pre-nuptial Certificate indicating you have received instructions from the Church;

certificate indicating that both parties are legally single individuals (one required for the bride and groom each).

� If widowed, a copy of certified Death Certificate must be provided. � If previously married, a copy of the Civil Marriage Certificate. � If divorced, a copy of the annulment (Catholic) will be required. � A release from your local Parish (Bride and Groom to be) must be submitted to the

Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church, authorizing your Catholic Ceremony to be performed in Dominican Republic. It must contain information of your single status and confirm that prenuptial instructions have been received at your local Parish. Release must be submitted with Parish seal and printed on original letterhead.

� Blood tests are not required in the Dominican Republic.

Mixed religious marriages may be performed; the following documentation is required:

� Petition for a Canonical dispensation or permission for a mixed religion marriage. The Dioceses of the country where you reside provides this document.

� Affidavit of Free Status for your non-Catholic partner.



IMPORTANT NOTES FOR CATHOLIC CEREMONIES:

Catholic ceremonies have the same legal implications as a civil marriage. The priest sends a copy of the act of celebration to the authorized officer of the Civil State three days after the marriage, to be registered in the Dominican Republic. Bride and Groom will be provided with a Canonical Marriage Certificate after the wedding. Notarized Marriage certificate will be mailed to the bride and groom as soon as it is received from the church. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks after the wedding date for Notarized Certificate to be delivered by the church to the Casa de Campo Wedding Specialist. The following charges apply for Notarized Wedding Certificates: US$190.00* Spanish / US$230.00* English. Price includes government tax and shipping charges. Catholic Ceremonies are performed by the priest in Spanish: opening prayers, gospel, gospel acclamation, prayer of the faithful, liturgy of God and final blessings. The readings may be performed by a family member or friend and may be said in English or Spanish, as well as the rite of marriage (consent, exchange of vows and rings). Your Wedding Specialist or the church administration must receive copies of the applicable documents a minimum of two (2) months prior to wedding date. Originals of all documents must be provided to the church upon your arrival. Copies of Documents must be faxed or sent via courier service to the Miami Sales Office or directly to the on-site Wedding Specialist.

CEREMONY TIME

Catholic Ceremonies are performed subject to the agenda and availability of the Priest. Ceremonies may be performed as follows:

Monday to Friday – Subject to Church and Priest agenda Saturdays –at 5:45 PM Sunday –at 5:45 PM

Regulations for the ceremony time:

� Church will be available for one hour, beginning at the time of confirmation, for example if

the confirmed ceremony time is at 5:45 PM, the church will be available until 6:45 PM. � Casa de Campo reserves the right to change or re-schedule your ceremony if this time

slot cannot be met. � Regular mass service is scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:00 PM at Saint Stanislaus

Catholic Church. Please note that punctual arrival for all ceremonies is mandatory. The priest holds the right to cancel the ceremony due to extreme delays.

� You are welcomed to celebrate your wedding with your Parish Priest. Request must be submitted in writing to the Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church at least two (2) months prior to the scheduled wedding date, along with all required ceremony documents.

� Ceremonies performed in other languages (English, Italian and French) are to be discussed with the priest. Document revisions; applicable cash donation to the church; wedding ceremony program; and/or any special arrangements; are to be discussed during your initial meeting, directly with the priest at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church in Altos de Chavón.

� Meetings with the priest must be scheduled a minimum of two (2) days prior to the scheduled ceremony date.

� A cash donation is expected for all Catholic Ceremonies performed at the church. Please discuss this directly with the priest during your initial meeting. All donations must be presented to the church prior to your ceremony, in US dollars CASH.

� Ceremony rehearsals will be conducted by the assigned Wedding Specialist, as the priest does NOT participate in the wedding rehearsal.

� A maximum of 80 guests may be accommodated inside the Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church. Catholic ceremonies over 80 guests must be performed outside the church in the

� Chavón Plaza, with approval from the priest, and with the space confirmation that must be Submitted for approval from your Wedding Specialist. Music and entertainment is available to suit every taste and set any mood:

Violinists, guitar trio, musical quartet, electric piano, classical or jazz combo, Dominican Merengue... up to a full orchestra.

DJ service is also available including international and tropical music selections.
