Astrology can enlighten our behavior and clarify correlations in life. However, it can't and shouldn't pina person down. An astrological birth picture consists of symbols that have been translated into wordsand concrete examples in the following text. For the sake of clarity, some examples have beenexaggerated.

What astrology has to say can be explained by using examples. You have different aspects of yourpersonality like your will, feelings, rational mind, etc. Imagine these to be actors who are staging theplay of "life" together. Astrology describes the actors, their qualities and weaknesses, and theirrelationships with each other. But astrology has little to say about the play that is being acted. A part of you would like to let go and open up to something profound and uncontrollable. As a result,sexuality presumably means being swallowed up in a greater whole. The desire for total merging, and forsexual and spiritual ecstasy, can motivate you to get involved in Tantra, debauchery, or chaste abstinence.You may be equally inclined to seek total devotion in religion or meditation and tend to have passionateor even fanatical traits. Death is also surrounded by a mystical aura and may appear both enticing andfrightening to you. You are very open to everything dark. One could almost say that you have a need todive into the swamp of the emotions. This may mean that you have much compassion for the fringegroups of society such as the disabled, criminals, or addicts.

THE "DARK" SIDE

Pluto symbolizes the most radical, energized, and passionate aspect of our personality that, especiallybecause it is so bent on "all or nothing," also triggers fear. So we often feel this side of ourselves to be"dark" and inwardly turn away from it. Then we suppress this intensive part with somewhat the sameeffect as pressing a lid onto a pot with boiling water: We burn our fingers. We can only find an access toits power and liveliness when we accept this uncompromising and intensive part of ourselves and learnto deal with it. Then this aspect in particular can develop an enormous energy potential and lead usthrough and beyond profound crises.

"All or nothing!" is your motto in relationships. Your partner wants to have you completely - or you wanthim or her completely - with body, mind, and soul. Your relationships are intense and passionate. Thisprobably also includes the fear of being deserted and the attempt to control and manipulate therelationship and the partner. A love relationship without power games, without testing each other'sstrength, without passion, and without jealousy is like a soup without salt for you. You tend to look forpartners who will agree to this type of intensity.

You may be afraid of your own depth of feeling and the irrevocability and uncompromising attitude thatyou express toward someone you love. Then you move into a passive role and allow your partner to havepower over you in a certain sense. You assume a type of victim attitude, and the relationship can becomedifficult at this point.
