In the Kitchen with Paula: Join Paula to prepare and enjoy a variety of tasty treats! Art To Wear: Jewelry Making and Tie Dyed Scarves: Enjoy creating wearable art with these fun projects! Mile Markers Walking Club: Receive a new pedometer and help us rack up the miles as we complete a “walk across Massachusetts.” Sign up now to join the fun! Resident Newsletter Committee: Love to write and share news with fellow residents. Join us in planning our new Resident Run Newsletter. Book Club Read a Loud: Join us as we read sections of our Book Club Selection aloud and discuss. The Residence at Melrose Station will be accepting donations of new school supplies for a backpack drive for local students. Melrose Station will provide backpacks. Items needed include: single subject notebooks, rulers, pencils, pencil sharpeners, blunt tipped scissors, erasers, post-it notes, glue sticks, colored pencils, and highlighters. If you wish to donate any of these items, they can be dropped off in the collection box in the Melrose Station front lobby through August 16th. Thank you for your help supporting local students! Savor the tastes of summer in New England! The Residence at Melrose Station will be serving up lobster rolls, corn and shrimp chowder, strawberry rhubarb cookie bars and your choice of a Cape Codder cocktail or lemonade to benefit The Alzheimer’s Association. Each lobster roll meal will serve one person. A minimum donation of $20 per meal is requested. Reserve your delicious lobster roll by calling 781-620-8990 by Friday, August 6th.
