at E-Summit 2017

The team of E-Cell ( Entrepreneurship Development Cell) , Parul Polytechnic Institute has participated in National Entrepreneur Challenge (NEC) - 2017 & International level event named " E- Summit 2017" Organized by IIT- Mumbai on 28th -29th January 2017.

More then 400 colleges of India have participated in this event & E-cell team of Parul Polytechnic Institute stood at 4th position in 'BASIC' track .

EDC at Parul Patul Polytechnics Institute ,is having an organized structure with expert team chaired by Prof. Jatin Vaidhya ( Principal- Parul Polytechnic Institute) and Mr. Zubin Bhaidasna (EDC Institute Co-ordinator) , as well as a core committee of department co-ordinator with mature and highest level of business sense, cross-sector expertise is the major criterion for mentoring and nurturing of idea to start-up. To execute the entire institute’s plan, a department level team has been created where students involve themselves by participating through e-cell which is another milestone of the journey. In any academic entrepreneurial ecosystem e-cell formed and managed by students play a vital role because that is the trusted and tested model. Strategically three major components have been created which are sensitization, conversion and developing connectivity with local level ecosystem. Various activities are planned in structured manner under all three initiatives where sensitization will always play the most important role to create a journey from “Idea to IPO” with identification of right idea at a right time for execution.

The team participated in E-summit 2017 was lead by Mr. Hutesh Bavisakar (Department Faculty Co-ordinator).

About E – Summit 2017

The Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Bombay presents the Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 - a confluence of industry veterans, business leaders, entrepreneurs, visionary students and anyone who has a vision to make the world a better place.

It is scheduled for 28th-29th January, 2017. The theme for E-Summit '17 is “A Tryst with Tomorrow.” Speakers from more than 7 countries have already been confirmed, and this number is expected to rise to 15-20. We'll also showcase startup histories and cultures as a part of the ambience for the Summit.

Some major events during E-Summit include:

Business Conclave: A set of speaker sessions and networking events in the fields of marketing, HR, operations, finance, technology and design. It is targeted toward professionals, with experts providing updates about their respective fields.

Networking Arena: An excellent opportunity to connect with the who's who of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Panel Discussions: When industry veterans, business experts, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs discuss ideas, opinions and trends, you are bound to be left with more knowledge than before about the current trends, ideologies and methods.

Startup Expo: E-Summit 2017 presents innovative startups a unique opportunity to showcase themselves on a large scale platform.

About NEC (National Entrepreneurship Challenge)

The entrepreneurship cell of IIT-Bombay Friday night) launched the National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC). Created with the vision of promoting entrepreneurship amidst all the campuses in India, and making people realise that coming up with an innovative idea is no rocket science, the challenge is the first of its kind pan-India competition undertaken by E-Cell.

The challenge will ultimately direct participating colleges to establish their own E-Cells. It will include all the colleges spread across India.

The participating colleges will have to do a series of tasks (around 75 tasks) which are broadly divided into these categories: Awareness: Generating awareness about entrepreneurship, which will include tasks like session on basics of entrepreneurship, debate on job versus entrepreneurship, India versus silicon valley, surveys in college etc.
