A popular countywide programme of free short, regular walks led by trained volunteers and graded to suit all fitness levels and abilities.

North Herts Health Walks

Walks take place in

Hitchin and Letchworth

and towns and in

surrounding villages all

year round on a weekly or

fortnightly basis, including

weekends.

Why walk?

• Meet new people - most walks finish in the pub for a drink and a natter

• Get outside in your local green spaces and countryside – helping to combat stress, depression and anxiety

• Brisk walking helps reduce the risk of diabetes, Alzheimer's, bowel cancer and can help prevent osteoporosis, high blood pressure, stroke and coronary heart disease
