Inormation about the administration o an Act respecting Access to documentsheld by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (L.R.Q. c. A-2.1)

1. The personal inormation collected or the purpose o issuing a personalized joint transit smartcard (CPCT) is the inormation required to veriy, grant or renew the status o persons entitled to

obtaining and using a personalized CPCT, such as students, seniors or regular are users.2. Such personal inormation is collected or Société de transport de Montréal (STM) who is

responsible or operating the computer system or the integrated are sales and collection system(«Integrated system»), as well as or the beneft o other public transit authorities adhering to theIntegrated system.

3. The public transit authorities adhering to the Integrated system include the Société de transportde Montréal, the Société de transport de Laval, the Réseau de transport de Longueuil, the Réseaude transport de la Capitale, the Agence métropolitaine de transport, the Conseil intermunicipalde transport le Richelain, the Conseil intermunicipal de transport des Basses Laurentides, theConseil intermunicipal de transport de Chambly-Richelieu-Carignan, the Conseil intermunicipalde transport Haut Saint-Laurent, the Conseil intermunicipal de transport Vallée du Richelieu, theConseil intermunicipal de transport La Presqu’Île, the Conseil intermunicipal de transport Sorel-

Varennes, the Conseil intermunicipal de transport Roussillon, the Conseil régional de transport deLanaudière, and the Organisme municipal et intermunicipal de transport Sainte-Julie. Other publictransit authorities may eventually adhere to the Integrated system and, where applicable, theidentity o these new transit authorities will be brought to the attention o transit users by meanso press releases or notices on the internet portal o the STM and o the public transit authoritiesadhering to the Integrated system.

4. Such personal inormation is collected or the ollowing purposes:a) the issuance, renewal, modifcation, replacement, reactivation or cancellation o personalized

 joint transit smart cards (CPCT) by public transit authorities adhering to the Integrated system;b) the sale and collection o public transit ares, as well as the redistribution o some o the

collected ares;c) the reund or restitution o transit ares;d) the administration o the Integrated system, through the recording o accesses and trip

inormation;e) the prevention, detection or suppression o raud;) the planning o public transportation services (in severed orm).

5. The categories o persons who will have access to this personal inormation, in the perormance otheir duties or the public transit authorities adhering to the Integrated system, are the ollowing:a) persons in charge o issuing, renewing, modiying, replacing, reactivating or cancelling persona-

lized CPCT cards;b) persons selling and collecting public transit ares;c) persons in charge o administrating the Integrated System, through the recording o accesses

and trip inormation;d) persons in charge o the prevention, detection or repression o raud.

6. The personal inormation at issue is collected on an optional basis. Public transit users may choose

to purchase public transit ares on a generic smart card that collects no personal inormation andconers no are privileges.

7. Any user who reuses to provide the personal inormation required to issue a personalized jointtransit smart card (CPCT) or reuses to establish their identity or the purpose o modiying,replacing, reactivating or cancelling a personalized joint transit smart card or or obtaining a reundor the restitution o a are card may see the requested service or privilege being reused.

8. Any person having provided personal inormation to obtain a personalized joint transit smartcard (CPCT) or to have it renewed, modifed, replaced, reactivated or cancelled, has the right toconsult their personal inormation, to obtain a copy o it or to request that inaccurate, incomplete,ambiguous or illegally collected inormation be amended by submitting a request in writing to theperson in charge o access to inormation at the STM and providing proo o identity. Such requestsmust be sent to the ollowing address:
