Our volunteers have not been able to serve in the hospital since March 13 so we want to offer a little tour into some changes we have made
to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

Everyone entering the hospital or any of the offsite clinics is screened for COVID-19 symptoms.

Special screening booths have been installed in all of our entrances.

The St. Michael’s Assessment Centre is up and running and it serves as a special screening location for people that have mild symptoms.

The Assessment Centre is also equipped to perform the COVID-19 testing if patients meet a specific criteria

Two floors of the Peter Gilgan Patient Care Tower have been opened to create more capacity for patients.

This has created an additional 33 critical care spaces for potential COVID-19 patients.

To create social distancing and to keep our staff safe, we are using ZOOM technology in favour of in-person meetings.

The Gift Shop remains open for limited hours to provide service to our staff and offers telephone orders to families of patients.
