Q: If you had the opportunity, what actions would you demand of the United
Nations Secretary General and why?
To Increase Efforts to Reduce Poverty• Over half of world live on less than $2.5 a day • 80% of people live on less than $ 10 a day• 80% of people live in countries where income differentials are widening. • Why to demand from UN General Secretary?• Because the rate of increase in global wealth, growth and development is not aligned with
reduction of poverty. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children's die each day due to poverty. The poverty leads to malnutrition, increase in illiteracy, slavery and bonded labour as well as criminal aspects in society among others.
