A Guide to the Titian Foundation
• Founded in 2006 to rebuild collapsed schools after the Yogyakarta earthquake.
• 2007: Introduced a three-year Senior High School Scholarship Programme.
• 2008: Partnered with ROTA (Qatar) to build a vocational school at Bayat, Klaten.
• 2009: Facilitated the building of a Community Learning Centre in Semarang – others have followed in Padang and Tasikmalaya.
• 2010: Set-up and ran the Teacher Quality Improvement training programme for 500 teachers every year.
• 2011: Introduced University Scholarship Programme.
During its first six years Titian has
managed programmes totaling over $9m and touched over 4,000 lives.
All at a cost efficiency ratio of under 10%

Teacher Quality Improvement
Teacher Quality Improvement (TQI) Training Programme:
1,800 teachers, 200 headmasters and 30 MONE trainers over 4 years.

RumahCikini
In April 2012 RumahCikini opened its doors.
Batik and ceramics designed and produced by Titian Foundation students and villagers in Bayat, central Java, are complemented by products from other NGOs such as Torajamelo and House of
Lawe.
The focus is on preserving the arts and crafts of Indonesia and encouraging community enterprise.
All profits go directly to the Titian Foundation.
