Okay, that is because just like real people, they are all vulnerable and imperfect. As persons we have weaknesses and flaws. And we can only say few of the many situations that prove that. How about you? Do you also have the traits of such characters?

Other than our imperfection as a person, there’s always this one thing that causes our problem. And that thing can be found in the situations below. Do you know what it is?

Well now, as we consider conflict as a common experience, we can identify them into two types and four kinds. The two kinds are: internal and external. What is your idea of an internal conflict? How about external ones?

Definitely Floyd. The internal conflict as the name suggests occurs inside the person, his or her problem lies within himself not anything else, while the external conflict are caused by outside forces, things, or persons.

Under those two types, we have more specific types of conflicts. Will you read for us the types of conflict Georgia? Frederick? John Robin?

Now class, we are to read and discuss the story of Miss Brill who is also troubled by a conflict, let’s try to find out what kind of conflict she is experiencing in the story Miss Brill. Before we start, we have some vocabulary words to learn. We will unlock their meaning through context clues.

Now, we’ll read the episodes of Miss Brill’s story silently and I will ask you some questions after each episode okay... Are you ready? Let’s read the 1st
