A CREOLE CINDERELLA STORY Not so far from Reus, there is a house where an unhappy young girl lives with her stepmother and her two daughters. Her name is Cinderella and she is 10. She is very pretty. She has got a long blond hair and big blue eyes. She always has to do the housework. She works hard all day. Every morning, she makes the beds, tidies the bedrooms, cleans the bathroom, does the shopping, waters the plants and vacuums. At midday, she cooks the meal and lays the table. After dinner, she cleans up the table, washes the dishes, sweeps and mops the kitchen and feeds the pets. In the afternoon, she does the washing up, does the ironing, walks the dog and helps her sister with the homework. Finally, at night she takes out the rubbish and goes to sleep. Last Monday, she received a letter. The prince invited the family to his birthday party. Of course, Cinderella’s stepmother doesn’t allow her to go. - Mum, can I go to the party? - You? You are staying at home to wash the dishes, sweep the floor and make the beds for your stepsister. They will come home tired and very sleepy. Suddenly, something amazing happens. An old little fairy appears and with a flick of her magic wand Cinderella finds herself wearing the most beautiful dress she has ever seen. Now she is the party, having fun and dancing with the prince who is falling in love with her. Soon, it’s twelve o’clock and Cinderella must go home quickly! She loses her shoe and goes back home very sad.
