Increasing of Faith…• The Storm- 8:25 “Where is your faith?” • The Demons- 8:39 “Return to your home and

declare what God has done for you!” • The Incurable disease- 8:48 “Your faith has made

you well, go in peace”• The Dead daughter- 8:50 “Do not fear, only believe,

and she will be well”• The need for food- 9:13 “YOU give them something

to eat”


SummaryThe need for Faith… “Where is your faith?” (Storm)

The Growth of Faith…for personal felt needs (Deliverance, Disease, Death)

The Service of Faith…meeting the needs of others… “you give them something to eat!” (Feeding 5000)


Key thought:

The goal of a growing faith is not to merely have one’s needs met, but to serve alongside Jesus to

meet the needs of others!!

Over the Natural World8:22-25

Colossians 1:15-17He is the image of the invisible God, the

firstborn over all creation. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and

on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.


Ephesians 1:18-22I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened

in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the

saints, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty

strength, 20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the

heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in

the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be

head over everything for the church…”

Ephesians 4:27-32“Do not give the devil a foothold. 28 He who has been

stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need. 29 Do not let any

unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs,

that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger,

brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each

other, just as in Christ God forgave you.


Romans 8:37-39No, in all these things we are more than

conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the

future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be

able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:12-14We have not received the spirit of the world but the

Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom

but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 14 The man

without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are

foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.


Key thought:

Having less to give God is often better than having more to give

him.


Key thought:

The strongest faith is not that which trusts God to do great things for me…the strongest

faith is that which trusts God to help me do great things for

others!
