Challenges

The challenges that changed was me worrying that I would be to impatient but I wasn’t, because I actually enjoyed it

It was hard to learn how to use the piping bags because it isnt like using a pencil.

I had a hard time icing the cakes it always got pieces of cake stuck in it.

I wouldn’t do anything differently about my project

Mentor Reflection

• The reason my mentor is a good mentor for me is because she has had experience working in a bakery at ingles for almost 2 years, and she has took cake decorating classes at Jo-Anns in Asheville

• My mentor has taught me how to make my own homemade cake mix and icing. She has taught me how to properly decorate a cake with fondant and mostly all the techniques to use while decorating cakes

• This project showed me that I enjoy making cakes and I actually have the patience for it also

• I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new.
