A Breath-Taking ExperienceLike every adventure worth embarking on, Maya Blue has taken a lot of effort, work and dedication from all involved in its development. We set out to create something unique that offered our long-time and new customers an alternative to explore Mexico´s ancient Cenotes from a purpose-built, dedicated facility located in the heart of the Riviera Maya run by a team of passionate adventurers.

Maya Blue is located in Xpu-Ha, between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. The 420m2/4,520ft2 facility was thoughtfully designed around the needs of adventurers wishing to explore the Mayan Underworld. From snorkelers, free-divers and recreational Scuba divers to experienced Cave and Rebreather divers, our facility was conceived as a one-stop-shop offering excursions, training, rentals and trip planning.

Our on-site café/restaurant, Bat House Café will offer eat-in, take-out and catered meals for divers and adventurers using exclusively re-usable or bio-degradable packaging and will offer vegan and vegetarian options. No single-use plastics will be bought or sold.

Our 140m2/ 1506ft2 retail shop will stock a mix of top-notch SCUBA equipment brands, necessities, apparel, art objects and regional products. With brands such as Fourth Element, Razor, Shearwater, Hollis, Apeks, Light Monkey, Beauchat, Bare, Oceanic, Salvimar and more we´re guaranteed to cover every snorkeler, free-diver and Scuba diver´s needs whether they need a clip, a suit, a set of regulators or a Rebreather.

Maya Blue is a PADI 5-Star Dive Resort and Freediving Center. We are able to accomodate any experience level and organize a personalized, bespoke itinerary for you. Our excursions include thorough orientations/briefings, background of the cenotes, regulations and techniques; making sure you have a good understanding of where you´re visiting and therefore enjoy it to the maximum.

If you haven´t been diving in a while, want to learn to dive or want to take more advanced training, there is no better place to do it that at MB. Our state-of-the-art classrooms, library, rental locker and award-winning instructors guarantee a learning experience bar-none.

Cave diving is a specialized technical form of diving. Whether you are just taking your first cavern course or you’re an experienced cave diver, this activity requires the right attitude, your full attention and most important quality training.

DZD is Maya Blue´s dark side alter-ego. A top-notch diving and training facility, set up to accommodate all levels of overhead diving in our facility with air-conditioned multi-media classrooms, dedicated dive lockers, mixed gas fill station and more. Our training programs demand strong foundations with high levels of awareness, upon which we progressively built. We utilize an elite cast of well-known educators and explorers for either a week of ever-challenging fun diving or the next level of training.

Dark Zone Diving has everything under one roof

DZD is an accredited training facility through the world´s most recognized technical training organizations: TDI, IANTD and PADI Tec Rec. We also offer GoSidemount Official Razor instruction in the environment the equipment and procedures were developed in.

We will find the right configuration (Backmount, Sidemount, CCR), training program and organization that is the best match for you, from entry-level cavern until CCR cave instructor training.
