Tony Kuttner
The Greater Alameda Business Association (GABA) rolled into 2014 in
high gear. We have scheduled a full slate of mixers, which got off to a solid start in January with a terrific event hosted by
Drs. Lauren Somers and Kim Kenna of Well Wise Woman.
In addition to our mixers, we have other events in the works, and we’re eager as ever to help our members prosper and our community to thrive.
Of course, doing so requires your help and par-ticipation, which is why those of you on our email list have already received an invoice for your 2014 dues.
For the bargain price of $85, you can claim member-ship in a welcoming group that offers you the opportu-nity to promote your business among friends and neighbors.
That $85 also supports programs that educate mem-bers about how they can improve their businesses and stay informed about what is going on in Alameda’s com-
mercial community.Plus, investing that $85
lets people know that you support a group that returns its support to Alameda by encouraging local busi-ness and by raising finds for the Alameda Education Foundation.
If you didn’t get that email, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll make sure you get your 2014 mem-bership form right away.

A Letter from the President of GABAFeb. 27, at The Harbor Bay Club, 200 Packet Landing Road. We’re looking forward to having you drop by to meet new members and learn more about what GABA has in store for 2014, plus get an update on proposed changes at the Harbor Bay Club.
Looking aheadAs mentioned above,
we’ve filled out our slate of mixers for the year. We invite the community to join us usually on the last Thursday of the month. Coming up we have events at the Pacific Pinball Museum in March, with a brief program offering Tax Tips, plus our April event at Lilac Dress Boutique, and our Brown Bag Wine Tasting in May at Wescafe.
And mark Sept. 25 on your calendars for our showcase, the annual GABA Business Expo. Watch this
space for more info on that can’t-miss event.
