From the Editor: This Inaugural E-Vocare is dedicated to Miguel and Frances Zamora. For many years, in addition to editing this Vocare, Miguel has worked tirelessly on behalf of Serra and Vocations, beside his wife Frances, our outgoing Treasurer. We are very glad that don Miguel’s health has improved, and we pray that they will both continue their invaluable contributions to Serra. Vocations News…PostersSerra Clubs assist the Archdiocesan Office of Vocations distribute informational posters to parishes. VP -Elect Vocation, Helen Drab-Stigant retrieved the posters designated for our parishes, and invited the Vocations Committee and other members to help distribute them to the 15 parishes that our Club serves.

World Day of Prayer for VocationsWorld Day of Prayer for Vocations was observed with a beautiful Eucharistic Procession at St. Mary’s Seminary, Houston, Texas... Bill Clary, Melba Pourteau, and Lee Boler attended on behalf of our Club.

Around the Archdiocese

Serra Clubs across the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston participated in a Leadership Training Saturday, July 15, 2017 led by Serra District 10 Governor, Bill Clary. The event, hosted by the Serra Club of Bay Area, provided the opportunity for club Serrans to share information on how each club carries out its own particular activities within the Serra Mission to promote, affirm and support vocations.
