Dear Parish Family: His peace be with you! One more week until the Jamaica is here! We need eve-rybody’s help and more importantly, your presence. The Jamai-ca provides our parish and Inmaculada church with financial resources but it also provides us with the opportunity to be to-gether as one family, working, praying and enjoying the gift of being a healthy and happy community in God’s love! How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! Psalm 133:1. This is what we want, the gift of unity. We are already one family but we must continue to work to strengthen our bonds as one spiritual family. Please come to enjoy our Jamaica, September 28th.

Mass will be at 11:00am followed by the Jamaica, there will be plenty of food, games for the children, live music, cake walk, the Baby Pageant will be at 7pm in front of the Scotus College. We still need canned sodas and 2 liters for the ring toss. This Sunday we recognize and bless our CCD teachers and aides as we celebrate Catechetical Sunday 2019. Please join us with your prayers and bring your children to participate in the CCD activities. The more we know about our Lord, the more full our lives become. Thank you so much for all you do for our Parish, for our community an ultimately for our Lord.

In His Love -Fr. Evencio

JAMAICA COMMITTEE MEETING Wednesday,

September 25th at 7 pm.

The next second collection will be October

5 & 6, 2019 for Respect Human Life. The

annual Respect Life Program is a na-

tionwide effort to help Catholics un-

derstand, value, and become engaged

with building a culture that cherishes

every human life.

As a gift from God, every human life

is sacred from conception to natural

death. The life and dignity of every

person must be respected and protect-

ed at every stage and in every condi-

tion. The right to life is the first and

most fundamental principle of human

rights that leads Catholics to actively

work for a world of greater respect for

human life and greater commitment

to justice and peace.

Next Sunday is the World Day of

Migrants and Refugees. Pope Francis has

asked us to pray for our brothers and

sisters who find themselves needing to

leave their home country due to condi-

tions that either endanger them or do not

allow for basic human needs. As you

know, many lose their lives each year in

these attempts at a more dignified life.

Our Bishop James Tamayo will celebrate

Holy Mass on Saturday September 28

at 10AM at Tres Laredos Park, Lare-

do Texas situated along the banks of the

Rio Grande near the Laredo Outlet Mall.

Please consider praying with us.

19th Annual Red Mass

Parishioners are invited to join the Most Rev. James A. Tamayo, D.D. on

Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 6pm at St. Patrick Church as he invokes God's

blessing on all members of legal profes-sion at the Annual Red Mass.

Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Prayer of Thanksgiving St. Anthony, God has helped me abun-dantly through your prayer and has strengthened me in my need. I thank God and I thank you. Accept this prayer and my serious resolve which I now re-new, to live always in the love of Jesus and of my neighbor. Continue to shield me by your protection and pray to God for the final grace of one day entering the kingdom of heaven to sing with you the everlasting mercies of God. Amen.
