Description and Overview: The project is located at 9499 Beach Mill Road in Great Falls, VA. The project’s main goal is to address an incised and severely eroded channel. Furthermore, the improvements will bring the channel to a stable condition, prevent future flooding, and eliminate very steep channel banks (a potential safety hazard) for the property. Project Scope of Work:
• Removal and disposal of existing filter sacks (geo-tubes). • Import and placement of select fill and reinforced bedding material to raise the elevation of channel’s bottom. • Installation of various cross vanes structure, a series of cascading steep-pools structures, and a stone lined energy
