Helium

By Ahmed Houmayssi

The atomic number of

Helium is 2 and the Electron

configuration is 2

Ordinarily a colourless, inert gas,

helium glows pale peach when an

electric current runs through it. A

glass blower bent a tube to the shape

of the letters He and filled it with pure

helium. I lit it with high voltage.

potassium (K), chemical element of Group 1 (Ia) of the periodic table, the alkali metal

group, indispensable for both plant and animal life. Potassium was the first metal

to be isolated by electrolysis, by the English chemist Sir Humphry Davy, when

he obtained the element (1807) by decomposing molten potassium hydroxide

(KOH) with a voltaic battery.

CALCIUM

BY: BILAL HAMDAN.

Name: calciumSymbol: CA

Atomic number: 20Electron configuration:2,8,8,2

Uses: Calcium is essential for human nutrition. Animals skeletons get their

rigidity primarily from calcium phosphate.

Properties:calcium is a fairly soft metal with a shiny silver surface when first

cut.

BERYLLIUMBY: SHAFIC TABIKH

BERYLLIUM IS the chemical element with atomic number as 4. It is a toxic bivalent element. It is steel grey, strong, light-weight but brittle and alkaline earth metal. It is used as a hardening agent in alloys, usually beryllium copper.

Of all the metals, beryllium has one of the highest melting point. Its modulus of elasticity is approximately 1/3 greater than steel. It is nonmagnetic, resists attack by concentrated nitric acid, is an excellent thermal conductivity and it is highly permeable to X-rays. At a standard temperature and pressure it resists oxidation when exposed to air.

OXYGEN

A oxygen is an element it weights 15.9994 Full technical data

At -183.0DegreeC oxygen is a beautiful pale blue liquid, but at room temperature it is a colourless gas. It's only 21% of the atmosphere--the 21% we all need if we want to live more than a few minutes longer.

The atomic number for oxygen is 8 and its symbol O.
