This scene is powerful because it gives the audience a clear view of the mis en scene and whereabouts they are

This scene is powerful because it gives the audience a view of who is going to be in this scene and who is the victim and who’s the villain.

This shows that the person in front of the woman has hit her to show his authority. The background isn’t in focus so that the audience is drawn to her.

This shot reverse shot is amazing because the woman is sitting down and the man is standing up which shows that he has power and dominance over her also her face is turned to the side to show the impact him hitting her has had. What’s interesting is that they both are wearing black and that can only connote death or danger.

This wide shot shows the audience that she is outnumbered by villains and that there isn’t any possible way of her coming out unharmed.

This shows how many men the woman is outnumbered by. It also shows that she is handcuffed to the chair which makes the audience feel fear for her.

This shot reverse shot shows that her life is in danger . and is controlled by the man.

This wide shot is my favourite scene because it defeats the object meaning that she has defeated all the men which is symbolic because she is a woman which goes against the stereotype of this time.
