In late 2011 my close friend Karl Wilson left Jamaica with his family to spend time overseas. He asked myself and mutual friend Jiri Mills to take care of his home until his return. That year between 2011-2012 was amongst one of the most unforgettable time periods of my life thus far. Living there I experienced so much good, as well as bad. All learning experiences that tested every-thing I knew up to that point. Many a night I sat outside staring into the dark, feeling my mind working to a point where I could feel it stretching.

Even after leaving that house, I still continued learning lessons I only started there. I continued to traverse through dark times that felt like a nightmare. With no seeming way out of the darkness, the only comfort I felt was bringing myself back to 9 Hope Boulevard within my music. It was all my soul asked for... And what came out was a soundscape that captured the unexpressed energies while living there till now. The result was cathartic, showing me that even though I may have lost one dream, there’s actually an infinite number of dreams left.. But 9 is the highest single power, and I love that. So that’s 9 More Dreams, that I got.

I’d like to give thanks to a number of people who made 9 More Dreams possible. Bless up Karl Wilson and his family first and foremost. Without their generosity I would never have had one of the most inspiring and growth filled periods of my life that I’ll cherish forever, 9 More Dreams wouldn’t be possible without you.

Give thanks to King Biggs who drops a treasure trove of beats my way whenever I’m ready for a project, and trusts me with utmost courage that I’ll do them justice, great feeling.
